If we were to summarize this entire article we would simply say, the T300 comes standard with many added features and benefits, whereas the T300e comes basic with the option to add features and benefits.
However, there are many differences between the Tennant T300 and Tennant T300e that we will cover in this article.
Overview of the T300 and T300e
Both the T300 and T300e can be built with a 17”, 20” 24” disk deck or a 20” orbital deck with a variety of available brushes and pads based on your cleaning needs.
Pad assist is standard on both models with the option to upgrade to transport drive. Pad assist means that there is no self-propel. The action of the brush head turning lowers friction and pulls the machine forward as it operates and when your operators have to transport the machine throughout the facility, they have to “push” it.
Traction drive uses an extra motor to "power" the driving of the machine. Recommended for facilities that have changes in flooring elevation or operators have to travel long distances with the machine.
Lead acid, AGM or lithium-ion are your battery configurations on the T300 and T300e with the choice for onboard or offboard charging.
For facilities with sustainability, chemical consumption and risk reduction goals, both the T300 and T300e can be configured with Tennant's Nano Technology which helps aide in reducing the environmental footprint of operating the T300 or T300e.
Both the T300 and T300e come standard with the integrated squeegee assembly storage and an integrated hook for either a wet floor sign or light debris bag
What is Standard on the T300?
Quiet mode is standard on the T300 (not available on the T300e), bringing the DBA of the machine from 67 DBA to 57 DBA which is like comparing a washing machine to an electric toothbrush.
Quiet mode is the ideal choice for healthcare settings, daytime cleaning and any other noise sensitive environment.
The T300 comes with a 1HP brush motor that allows the machine to clean at 230RPMs. The T300e comes standard with a .68HP motor that cleans at 150RPMs. If you are trying to maintain a rubberized/textured floor, quarry tile, pavers, or any uneven surface, we do not recommend the T300e since the rotation of the brush motor (150RPMs) will drag on these types of surfaces leading to premature wear out of components and the more frequent tripping of the brush motor circuit breaker.
The T300 comes standard with Tennant’s Insta-Fit (magnetic head) which allows for easy installation and uninstallation of the pad driver or brush. The T300e comes standard with the conventional 3 lug head with the option to upgrade to the Insta-Fit.
The Insta-Fit is a perfect choice if you manage a larger fleet of machines that requires frequent operator trainings. Even the newest operators can learn the Insta-Fit process in a matter of seconds.
Control Panel and Functionality of the T300 and T300e
T300
There are three available control panels offered on the T300. Membrane (standard), Pro-Membrane (Upgrade) and Pro-Panel (Upgrade).
The membrane (standard)- Operators can adjust the solution flow of the machine right from the panel. It also contains other warning lights, battery health meter, and other optional add ons depending on your specific needs.
The pro-membrane (upgrade)- Operators can adjust the solution flow and down pressure of the machine right from the panel. It also contains other warning lights, battery health meter, and other optional add ons depending on your specific needs. A facility can also preset cleaning modes through the zone setting feature.
The pro-panel LCD (upgrade)- A complete fleet management and training tool. The pro-panel provides access to training videos, machine software information, supervisor controls, machine settings, with lock-out functionality. Information can also be displayed in different languages depending on the needs of your facility.
T300e
The control panel on the T300e contains no functional switches or buttons. It does include warning lights, battery health meter and an operator “quick start” guide.
The solution control on the T300e is controlled by a manual dial located behind the squeegee assembly on the rear of the machine
The down pressure setting on the T300e (if purchased with the machine) is controlled by the lever located at the rear of the machine
Warranty
Both the T300 and T300e carry the same warranty:
Summary
As mentioned in the first part of this article, the T300 comes standard with many added features and benefits, whereas the T300e comes basic with the option to add features and benefits.
